why learn to dive?

why learn to dive?

Just imagine where you will go!

Begin your underwater explorations by enrolling in a NAUI Scuba Diver class. This is our entry-level certification course where you will learn the fundamental knowledge and skills to safety dive in open water.

Earning your Scuba Diver Certification card is an accomplishment for which you will rightfully feel proud and you will be ready to begin a lifetime of underwater adventures and discovering.

During your class, you will learn about modern dive equipment, diving sciences, responsible diving practices and the environment. Diving skills will be taught and practiced first in the comfort and convenience of a confined water environment and finally during your open water training dives with your Instructor.

You will need to get properly fitted and purchase in-shop:

  • Mask

  • Fins
  • Fin Booties (cannot be velcro surf booties or water shoes)
  • Safety Sausage / Signal Tube
  • Mouthpiece
  • Waterproof watch
  • Dive knife or Sheers

We even offer a discounted course price when required startup gear is purchased through Scuba Central! This ensures proper fit, function, and Instructor troubleshooting for your training. In addition, you'll have one of our crew help you fit, size and explain the pros and cons of various items.  We've taken great lengths to "weed out" problem scuba gear, as we will be in the water teaching you on that very gear.  We want to see you to succeed.

This also allows you to swap out equipment that doesn't fit or seal properly during the course, even after it gets wet!  (This is critical)

NEW OPTION!

Since most will need to purchase the required startup gear anyway, we've created a way to get the standard scuba course FREE (or cost equivalent toward another course) by getting essentially what you would need (or want!) anyway. Feel free to call to inquire more about this offer.
